ESCO's six gates manage and control access of inbound and outbound trucks - four for inbound and two for outbound. The gates are fitted with two truck and container weighing machines. Gate operations have been converted from a manual operation to an integrated and technologically advanced gate system. ESCO's gates incorporate data input systems capable of transferring data in real-time to the Computer Automated Terminal Operation System (CATOS) - minimizing gate turn-around times and maximizing stevedoring and terminal handling efficiency. The current average gate processing time is three minutes per container.
