SERVICES
ESCO is committed to providing all its customers with complete container terminal services utilizing state-of-the-art infrastructure and adhering to international best practices. ESCO offers customers the full range of integrated services expected of a world-class terminal. The changing landscape of today's business environment means that the company must also be able to cater to increasingly diverse demands and our goal is to provide services that are not only of the highest standard, but also flexible. ESCO's role as a flexible service provider is expedited by our position as the major shareholder of LCB Container Terminal 1 (B1) and LCMT (A0), which provides us with additional leverage to handle unexpected occurrences like off-schedule arrivals. A leading terminal at Laem Chabang Port, ESCO offers all the services ocean carriers need to facilitate their business, from container handling and an inland container depot to maintenance and repair. With our hardware, software and dedicated personnel, and the global expertise of PSA and Kamigumi, customers have found that they can breathe easy when they put their cargo in our experienced hands.
CONTAINER HANDLING
ESCO's facilities and equipment are geared to handle a high volume of containers. This boosts the handling speed, efficiency and reliability of ESCO's operations, both the loading and unloading of ships and the integrated transport by truck, barge or rail. The B3 terminal has unrestricted access to the Gulf of Thailand without locks or tidal restrictions. With a draft of up to 14 meters, the terminals are capable of handling the Post-Panamax vessels of both current and future generations.
RAIL AND TRUCKING SERVICES
ESCO operates container rail transfer between Bangkok's Lad Krabang Inland Container Depot, at which ESCO owns and operates its own ICD terminal, and the B3 container terminal at Laem Chabang Port. As owner and operator of terminals on both ends, ESCO can ensure customers of seamless, one-stop container handling between the metropolitan area and Thailand's major gateway to global markets.
SRT (State Railways of Thailand) operates a 122-km rail line connecting the ESCO Terminal at Laem Chabang Port to Lat Krabang and the ESCO Module at Lat Krabang, allowing cargo to move inland for import to the major markets in Bangkok quickly, seamlessly, and in an environmentally friendly manner. All importers need to do is deliver their cargo to the ESCO ICD, saving both time and trucking costs.
A railroad crossing protocol is in operation to minimize disruptions to both road and rail users. SRT manages the rail schedules and operations of the port rail sidings.
Augmenting the rail service between ESCO'S Laem Chabang Terminal and ESCO's Lat Krabang ICD, the company provides ocean carriers with a fleet of trucks to expedite the inbound movement of cargo in bond back and forth from the port.
Customs Clearance
At both Laem Chabang Port and Lat Krabang ICD, customs clearance procedures are readily dealt with 24/7 as the Customs Department maintains an office at both sites. ESCO's Documentation Office is always on hand to assist both shippers and consignees with any customs or documentation formalities.
Electronic Services
Our electronic services allow customers to check vessel berthing schedules, track the status of their containers and book container handling services electronically from any location in the world. The advanced system also provides the vital information and reports on container movements that give customers greater visibility of their shipments.
