ESCO Terminal
ESCO's B3 Terminal, and the B1 Terminal in which ESCO holds a majority share, offer a draft and berth length that is able to serve all of the latest generation Post-Panamax vessels. Laem Chabang Port's waterways, bounded by a lengthy barricade, provide steady currents that allow vessels to navigate conveniently and safely to each terminal. The basins of the B-series terminals also have excellent wind and wave protection alongside, making vessel berthing operations a breeze.
A massive on-berth container yard provides a more than sufficient buffer for inbound and outbound containers while an off-site CY( container yard) just a few hundred meters from the terminal manages empty containers at customers' disposal.
Berth Length & Draft
At our primary B3 Terminal, a berth length of 300 meters and a draft of 14 meters means that we are ready to serve even the latest post-Panamax sized vessels and guarantee a swift turnaround time for every size of containership.
Container Storage Capacity
ESCO's B3 terminal has an overall area of 105,000 square meters. The container yard within the terminal has an area of 25,000 square meters, capable of storing 6,000 TEUs of dry containers. For reefers, or refrigerated containers, ESCO has a special zone allocated to plug-in 430 reefers with staff to monitor the status of reefers throughout its stay. ESCO also has an offsite container yard with capacity for storing up to 3,200 TEUs.
Maintenance Facility
ESCO's maintenance facility is a dedicated shop for repairing on-site equipment 24/7. The facility and its mobile units can respond instantly to equipment repair needs as well as conduct regular maintenance tasks to ensure ESCO's equipment is up and running at all times, minimizing downtime to provide services without delay.
GATES
ESCO's six gates manage and control access of inbound and outbound trucks. The gates are fitted with two container weighing machines. Gate operations have been converted from a manual operation to an integrated and technologically advanced gate system. ESCO's gates incorporate data input systems capable of transferring data in real-time to the Computer Automated Terminal Operation System (CATOS) - minimizing gate turn-around times and maximizing stevedoring and terminal handling efficiency. The current average gate processing time is three minutes per container.
Container Terminal Operating System
ESCO uses CATOS (Computer Automated Terminal Operation System), an integrated terminal management solution, to maximize container terminal productivity and gain greater efficiency, enhance service quality, and increase profitability.
CATOS provides ESCO with the tools to support all throughput activities, from modeling and planning yards and vessels, to monitoring and directing equipment movements within the terminal. The system enables real-time transactions from data feeds and advanced wireless communications that transmit on-the-ground changes.
With CATOS, ESCO is able to improve carrier turn-times to maximize revenues. ESCO can also optimize space, equipment and labor with sophisticated algorithms, increase terminal utilization through yard, vessel, and resource planning and provide greater operational control and monitoring of terminal assets and cargo.
As an ESCO customer you will be given access to this network, and we go to considerable lengths to process and display important information in the most user-friendly manner. For example, in addition to every vessel's berthing status, we will process essential information for each container, such as its gateway entry and departure time, its stacking position and precise location in the container yard. Customers then have the option of receiving this information via email or alternatively by accessing ESCO's website at any time for immediate access to accurate information that helps them save valuable time and costs.
